Lower lip
You might say it’s an anatomical oversight until it gets in the way or doesn’t look the way you’d prefer. For women, it’s either plump or too thin. Counter to what you’re thinking, I’m talking about a part of your body north of your buttocks and stomach. I’m talking about your lower lip, also known as the labium inferius oris.
The only time we think about it is when it develops a cold sore or gets in the way of an errant bite. But it doesn’t just keep your food in your mouth. No, it also receives the brunt of your stress, misplaced bites, and forms the lower half of a kiss.
The lower lip is more important than you think. It serves to protect your teeth, but can also give away your dishonesty. Yes, it plays a critical role in facial expression.
So, if you’re working on your poker face, you might consider controlling it. Because power might lie in the tongue, but protection sits in the lower lip.
