Looking back
It’s easier to look back than it is to look forward. After all, the road ahead is uncertain. There’s sure to be success and celebration, but there’s also failure and heartache. Whether painful or joyful, there’s comfort in the past. It’s been completed and you can rest in the certainty of it. There’s no changing what’s been done.
However, there’s anxiety, anticipation, and thought that must be given for what lies ahead. You must consider the path you’re about to walk. Is it the right one?
It's dangerous to look forward without considering what lies behind. Repeated mistakes will be the undoing of your future.
Rather than a burden of sin prior to Salvation, consider your past a guiding light for the path ahead. Don’t neglect what’s already been done. Consider it a tool in your rucksack for the future ahead.
